Free to download. Exam approval is handled by your exam authority.
How the app works
From exam request to volunteer response
- 1
Choose your role
Sign up as a student who needs writing support or as a volunteer who wants to scribe for exams.
- 2
Create or browse a request
Students share the exam date, subject, duration, and venue. Volunteers browse requests that fit.
- 3
Coordinate exam details
Keep the request and response details together while following the exam authority’s requirements.
For students
Ask for exam writing help
Create a clear request so volunteers know the subject, schedule, and location. Scribe4Me is a matching and coordination app; your exam authority decides who may use a scribe and which rules apply.

Help a student write an exam
Browse public exam requests and respond when you can attend. A volunteer scribe records what the student dictates and follows the instructions given by the exam centre.

About the Scribe4Me app
Is Scribe4Me an app for visually impaired students?
Yes. Scribe4Me is designed to help students who need a human scribe or reader for exams, including blind and visually impaired students. It can also support other students whose approved accommodations include a scribe.
Does the app approve a scribe accommodation?
No. Students must confirm eligibility, approval, and scribe requirements directly with their school, university, exam board, or testing authority.
Can volunteer scribes use the same app?
Yes. Volunteers can create a scribe profile, browse relevant exam requests, and respond when their city and schedule match.
